MAYFIELD TWP. — Members from the Sea Cadets’ Anchor Division were helming the buffet-style Thanksgiving dinner at the Lapeer Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4139 on Saturday.

In honor of the veterans that couldn’t be a part of the feast, Anchor Division Sea Cadets performed the ceremony of the Missing Man Table ahead of the dinner. Donations were raised to benefit Project Brotherhood Resolve, a non-profit dedicated to housing homeless veterans and assisting other veteran organizations in ending veteran suicide.

Anchor Division is part of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corp., a non-profit organization for young men and women ages 10-17. The program aims at developing strong leadership skills, teamwork, and self-confidence for member cadets with a hands-on approach to learning about the military.
