Estate planning program at the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library

LAPEER — The Lapeer District Library’s Marguerite deAngeli Branch, 921 W. Nepessing St. in Lapeer, will host attorney Jennifer Ackroyd-Fabris for an estate planning program on Monday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m.

Ackroyd-Fabris will cover the basics of estate planning including the difference between a will and a trust, essential estate planning documents, new law changes in estate planning, and more. Attendees are welcome to bring their questions. A question and answer session will follow the main program.

Ackroyd-Fabris joined Starr Sackin in May 2016. She concentrates her practice in probate law, specializing in: estates and trusts; wills; long-term planning; Medicaid planning; elder law; special-needs planning; and estate litigation. She has trained other attorneys in Michigan in these areas of probate law while serving as an ICLE moderator. She also educates the public at seminars on various probate issues throughout the region.

Ackroyd-Fabris is a graduate of Michigan State University, James Madison College and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
