LAPEER — Music lovers can experience the music and the majesty with “Always Abba” as the tribute band brings ABBA’s greatest hits to the PIX Theatre on Saturday, March 16 featuring Canada’s finest vocalists and musicians.

Relive the fun at the 7:30 p.m. show with the classic looks and sound that made ABBA famous. Always Abba’s impeccable vocals and stellar musicianship offers a night sure to love, as your Dancing Queen is reborn.

Lead vocalists Michelle Truman and Karen Coughlin are a dynamic duo as they bring ABBA’s most popular songs to life. Truman, who takes on the role of Agnetha, is a born entertainer. An accomplished vocalist, her career spans theater productions of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Little Shop of Horrors to Rusty in “Footloose” and “Anne of Green Gables” with the world renowned Charlottetown Festival. She has sung with several American symphonies across the United States.

Most recently, Truman has performed in the sold-out musical production “Summer of Love” as Janis Joplin with the epic Monster Rock Orchestra.

Teamed up with Truman and portraying Anni-Frid, Coughlin is a versatile performer with 20 years in the professional entertainment industry. She has headlined for several symphonies and worked in regional theatres across Canada. She is known for her work as Belle in “Beauty & the Beast,” Patsy in “The Patsy Cline Show,” The Narrator in “Joseph…,” and Sarah in “Guys & Dolls” among many other productions.

On stage with Truman and Coughlin will be guitarist and vocalist Kevin Beeby. He is an active freelance guitarist, bassist and vocalist. After graduating from Mohawk College’s music program in 2005, he has spent the past decade working with numerous bands and performing with artists around the greater Toronto area including 18 different tribute acts. On keyboard and vocals, Rich Roxborough has performed with 80’s rock-era revivals such as Alannah Myles, Loverboy and Honeymoon Suite. His experience even extends to performances with Canadian country artists like Jason McCoy, Aaron Lines and Patricia Conroy.

These four talented and experienced musicians are more than qualified to bring ABBA songs you know and love to life on the PIX Stage. Whether its songs like “Mama Mia” and “Knowing Me and Knowing You” that get your toes tapping, or if you prefer ballads like “The Winner Takes It All” to get you swaying with the beat, this full-on performance will not disappoint.
