Lapeer County Veterans Affairs debuts new logo

LAPEER — The Lapeer County Veterans Affairs (LCVA) office is proud to reveal their newly-designed logo.

“This year marks our 50th anniversary and one of the many ways we are celebrating is with an updated logo,” said LCVA Executive Director Ed Ronders. “With all of the materials and celebrations we have planned for this year we wanted to be sure we were putting our best foot forward, including our logo.”

The LCVA provides services that ensures access to Federal, state and local benefits for veterans and their families. The organization offers counseling, emergency financial relief, employment and training services and more.

The LCVA team worked with team at VIEW Group, the branding division at View Newspaper Group, to update their logo.

“View Newspaper Group has been a supporter of the LCVA for years. Our department become more familiar with LCVA team and their offerings when we partnered for our first-ever Bowling in Bowties event in January,” said VIEW Group brand manager Emily Caswell. “When Ed approached us about updating their logo, we were thrilled to be involved and help engage the community with such an important resource.”

The updated logo includes the colors blue and red. Blue is said to symbolize trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence and truth. Red is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power and determination. The new LCVA logo utilizes the silhouette of a saluting soldier, which represents a public display of admiration. The logo also pays tribute the organization’s 50th anniversary.

In addition, the updated logo compliments the LCVA’s recently-updated tagline: Honoring Lapeer County’s Heroes – One Veteran at a Time.

“We are very pleased with the updated logo design,” added Ronders. “Its debut is the perfect kick-off to a yearlong celebration.”
