ALMONT

The Raiders dropped a pair of games to Croswell-Lexington Monday, falling 28-2 on the boys’ side and 29-1 on the girls.

The boys’ team started out with a pair of losses in the Baker games, losing 141-102 in the first and 178-119 in the second. Individually, Garrett Earegood led the way with games of 203 and 164. Grant McClymont rolled games of 161 and 160 and Gavin Earegood finished with games of 140 and 131. Zach Barnes chipped in with games of 116 and 97 and Joe Weeks added a 98.

For the girls, Almont lost both Baker games with scores of 111 and 124. Samantha Dominick rolled games of 150 and 127 to lead Almont, while Addlynn Kuligowski chipped in with a 122 and Maria Carreno a 121. Anna Wedemeyer finished with games of 120 and 85, Shelby Moler rolled a 114 and Allison Mitchell had games of 117 and 113.

Almont takes on Merritt today at home and will face Capac Monday at Holly Meadows. — A.V.

DRYDEN

The Dryden bowling teams won a pair of games over Landmark Academy Monday as the girls’ team won 28-2 and the boys’ team won 25-5.

The Lady Cardinals won both Baker games, 110-41 and 102-55. In the individual matches, Courtney Heike led the way with games of 145 and 147. Alyssa Heed rolled games of 143 and 115, Faith Kaltz had games of 119 and 132 and Kylie Kuligowski added games of 79 and 125. Joanna Livingston chipped in with games of 79 and 85.

The boys’ team split its Baker games, losing 123-99 in the first, but winning the second, 137-101. Individually, Nate Brown led the Cardinals with games of 122 and 168. Chris Watson rolled games of 156 and 129, Vince Angel had games of 129 and 125 and Jackson Abromaitis finished with games of 109 and 118. Jalen Rodriguez rolled a 153 and Cole Seidell added a 130.

LAPEER

The Lapeer boys won a pair of matches on Saturday, defeating Midland 17-13 and Bay City Central 16-14.

Lapeer split Baker games with Midland, taking the first 235-164, but dropping the second 184-176. With a 6-4 lead in Lapeer’s favor heading into team games, Lapeer edged out Midland 924-912 in the first game to take a 13-6 lead. In the second game, Lapeer fell 913-901, but managed to take enough points to win overall.

Joey Novick rolled a 219 and Sam Howard had a 208 and 213. Tim Shafer rolled a 188 and 181 and Nathan Farrington added a 178.

Against Bay City Central, Lapeer dropped both Baker games and had to come back from a 10-0 deficit. Lapeer took six points in the first team game and pulled out the win in the second set of team games. Novick rolled a 196 and Patrick Felton had a 189.

The Lady Lightning also won both matches on Saturday, defeating Midland 24-6 and Bay City Central 23-7.

Lapeer edged out Midland 178-177 in the first Baker game and took the second 181-131 for a 10-0 lead. Lapeer then swept the first team game to take the win. Jillian Roush rolled a 213, Bailey Orsette and Stephanie Slater contributed a pair of 193’s and Sarah Lyerla added a 189 and 186.

The Lightning split the Baker games with Bay City Central for a 6-4 lead and then continued to take 17 of the remaining 20 points in the team games. Orsette threw a 202. Roush added a 192. Sarah Lyerla rolled a 180 and Cynthia Slater added a 160.

Both Lapeer teams are currently 4-0 and bowled against Bay City Western on Tuesday. Lapeer will face Flint on Saturday. — K.R.
