WANDA SANS, 90, of Imlay City, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Heatherton Place Assisted Living of Imlay City.

Wanda Jean Burris was born October 11, 1927, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Jesse and the late Vada (Brown) Burris. Wanda grew up and attended school in Texas. She married Charles Frederick Sans on November 5, 1943 in Decatur, Texas. Charles and Wanda moved to the Imlay City area in the late 1940’s and she has lived in Imlay City since then. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on November 16, 1992.

She was employed by Art Place Cleaners in Imlay City, MI as a clerk and steam press operator.

Wanda was a member of the Imlay City American Legion Ladies Auxillary, Imlay City Order of Eastern Star, West Goodland United Methodist Church and the Imlay City United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Miriam (Timothy) Hill of Imlay City and Lois Brinker of Rochester Hills; four grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) Schapman of Attica, Autumn (Mike) Belleville of Imlay City, Adam (Kristole) Hill of Imlay City and Meagan Brinker of Sterling Hgts.; eight greatgrandchildren, Evan, Lucas, Aubrey, Summer, Sara, Ty, Brock and Roman; her special niece, Mary Hartenberger of Rockford, IL; four greatnephews, Steve, Mike, Bill and Gregg; and her caregiver, Natalie Pawlaczyk. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Sans; her siblings, Iola Mae, Marlene, Lu Elsie, Sonny and James; and her great-nephew, Joe.

The funeral was held Friday, September 7, 2018 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City. Pastor Rodney Sanderson-Smith officiated.
