Art of Tattoo to open at Gallery 194 on
display through August 4. The Center
has partnered with Red Room Social
Club to bring a unique art to the Gallery
walls: the art of tattoo. Tattooing has
been a ritual in many cultures for
centuries. It has morphed into many
separate styles and the tattoos are
as diverse as the artists who create
them and the people who enjoy them.
In this new display, Gallery 194 will
showcase the different styles of tattoos
and some original artwork from local
tattoo artists. It will also include a visual
representation of the history of the art
of tattooing and the machines and tools
used to create tattoos from the early
times right up to the present. In addition
to the art on display in the show, Gallery
194 would like to invite the general
public to participate. We want to see
all your unique and wonderful tattoos.
Please drop off a photograph of your
tattoo at the gallery or share it with
us on social media. You can send a
message to our Facebook page, Gallery
194, with your image, or send it to us
via email at The
top-10 tattoo pictures will be announced
at the reception and displayed at the
Gallery until the end of the show.
