LYNN FRANCIS JOHNSON went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2018 at his home in Lapeer.

Lynn was born

September 12, 1928, in Otisville, to Robert and Caroline Johnson.

The third of four children, Lynn grew up and lived in Lapeer County for his 89-1/2 years. He was known for his excellent craftsmanship as a carpenter and builder throughout the

Lapeer area. In 1952, after serving his country in the Korean War, Lynn married the love of his life Elsie Lucile Lamerson of Lapeer. Early in their life, they purchased a farm in North Branch where they raised their seven children, Michael (wife Susan), David (wife Marion), daughter Amy (husband Robert Robinet), Daniel (wife Kim), Mathew (wife Laura), Bradley (wife Kim), Joshua (wife Melanie) until 1978 and then remained in the North Branch area until 2001. The decades of Lynn’s life were shared with family and friends of many generations who respected him for both his knowledge and wisdom of life. Lynn enjoyed gardening, hunting, golf and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elsie Johnson; seven children; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother in-law, Douglas Lamerson (wife Genie); brother and lifelong friend, Max Johnson (wife Geneva).

In death, he is now reunited with his parents, Robert and Caroline Johnson; brothers, Edward (E.J.) Johnson, Robert Johnson; sister, Janet Cichoracki; granddaughter, Marcy Johnson; great-grandson, William Nadrowski; and countless numbers of friends and family gone before him.

In passing, Lynn lived the way he died surrounded by the love of his wife, family and friends.

Lynn’s visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at Muirs. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Cremation will follow services.
