LAPEER — Secondgrade students at Chatfield School got a little living history lesson on Thursday as they were led on a tour of historical downtown Lapeer locations. The students have been studying the intricate history of Lapeer, and on Thursday visited various locations, such as the Historic Lapeer County Courthouse, the PIX Theater and Lapeer’s former firehouse and Post Office.

Students were also tasked with creating public informational brochures for the historic locations that can be found inside Dagwood’s in downtown Lapeer.
