‘Thanks’ to McLaren staff

A special thanks to the staff at Lapeer McLaren Hospital Friday night, May 11. Everyone was very professional, kind, considerate, and thoughtful. Thanks again.

‘Leave us alone’ near Mayfield shooting pit

The gun range (Lapeer shooting pit) shows the mentality of many gun owners. They care about nobody but themselves, so they’ll come over here and shoot up the place, litter and disregard common decency. Most of the people are not from here. I wish they stayed where they lived and left us alone.

People like to complain

It’s not as if there’s a subdivision next door to the shooting pit. I’m out there a lot. It’s not that bad. Some people just like to complain, it’s what they do.

Staff does tremendous job

It’s nice of The County Press to recognize the staff at the Lapeer County Veterans Affairs Office (editorial in May 13 edition). The ladies do a tremendous job on behalf of local veterans. Thank for mentioning their names. They deserve credit too.

Ronders deserves honor

Hey, Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce. Right here, right now I’m nominating Ed Ronders, director of the local VA office, to be next year’s Citizen of the Year. Ed does so much for the veterans and the community. He deserves the honor.

More than veterans deserve help in county

I appreciate the work Mr. Ronders (director of Lapeer Area Citizens of the Year) does, but there are a lot of other people who deserve an editorial about them too. I’m just saying there are more than veterans who deserve help in Lapeer County. Thanks for listening, and hope you will consider it.
