I-69 Regional Development Corporation funds first project in St. Clair County

LAPEER — I-69 Regional Development Corporation USDA Revolving Loan program has funded Medical Staffing and Consulting Network LLC, a home care business located in St. Clair County.

“Crystal Laeder, owner of the business, has been a pleasure to work with and I wish her great success in expanding her business. The fund is available to assist businesses with financing needs that result in the creation of jobs in the region,” said Patricia Lucas, executive director of the I-69 Regional Development Corporation.

“I am so excited to have been blessed with the funding from the I-69 Regional Development Corporation. This funding will assist my company to be able to serve more clients that desperately wish to age gracefully in their own home. Additionally, I will be opening Crystal Cares Career Academy which will give the opportunity to train and certify more caregivers to help with the current and projected caregiver shortage,” said Laeder, owner of Medical Staffing and Consulting Network LLC.

Lucas reminds managers and owners of small businesses in the I-69 Thumb region there are two loan programs to help them with financing through the I-69 Regional Development Corporation Revolving Loan Fund. Loans are available in the region consisting of Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair and Tuscola counties for financing business expansions or location projects that result in the creation of new jobs. Purpose of the fund is to promote and enhance economic development in the region. The maximum amount is negotiated, based on job creation and fund availability.

Terms of the loans for real estate are seven years, equipment up to 10 years and working capital up to 36 months.
