The Dryden girls’ bowling team picked up its seventh win in a row during a 28-2 victory over Armada on Wednesday.

Delaney Finley led the team with games of 182 and 167. Lacey Davis added a 165 and Hunter Hoffman contributed a 158.

Boys’ stats were not reported prior to press deadlines.

Dryden hosts Cros-Lex tomorrow at 4 p.m. — A.V.


The Lady Lightning finished out the regular season with an 18-12 win over Carman- Ainsworth on Wednesday. The win gave the Lapeer girls the second-best record in the Saginaw Valley League.

Lapeer fell behind after the first Baker game, but followed it up with a 213 for their highest Baker of the season to take the lead heading into the head-to-head matchups. The Lightning lost the lead in the first match, but came back strong to win the second.

Hannah McQueen threw a 212 to lead Lapeer. Jillian Roush rolled a 178. Stephanie Slater and Sarah Lyerla each threw a 164.

The Lapeer boys lost to Carman-Ainsworth 23-7. Joey Novick rolled a 216 game and a 396 series to lead the Lightning. Lapeer finished the regular season out at 6-6. — K.R.
