SHARON YVONNE DUNSMORE

SHARON YVONNE DUNSMORE, 71, of Hadley, lost her battle with leukemia on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Sharon was born

August 2, 1946, in

Romeo, to the late

Ralph and Winifred

(Cornell) Haber.

Sharon graduated in 1964 from

Lapeer High School. She married the love of her life, Edward N. Dunsmore, on May 6, 1967 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer. Mrs. Dunsmore was a wonderful cook and baker, making delicious cakes and candy. She loved living on the farm, where she spent hours tending to her flower gardens and caring for her draft horses. Mr. and Mrs. Dunsmore were the grand marshals of the 2012 Hadley 4th of July Parade. They were also proud to have been instrumental in the development of the Sutherland Nature Sanctuary, 3960 Diehl Rd., in Hadley Township. Sharon and Ed acted as caretakers at the Nature Sanctuary; clearing trails, bookkeeping and basically doing anything that needed to be done.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ed Dunsmore; special nephew, John (Ronda) Dunsmore of Hadley; sister, Mary (Fred) Dunsmore of Davison; brother, Daniel (Chris) Haber of California; many nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family and loving friends and neighbors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dunsmore Family Trust, 3833 Diehl Road, Metamora, MI 48455.

Cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. No formal funeral service will take place.
