JAMES MICHAEL JOSTOCK, 68, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 in Savannah, GA.

Mr. Jostock was born on September 7, 1949, to John and Irene (Laclaff) Jostock. He graduated from Lapeer High School (class of 1967).

Jim was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several military awards, including four Bronze Stars (three with a “V’ device), two Purple Hearts, an Army

Air Medal (with a “V” device), an Army Commendation Medal, and a Vietnam Cross of Gallantry (with a bronze star). After his military service, Jim returned to Lapeer before moving to Florida, and finally settling in Baxley, GA. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and close friends (Jerry Taylor, Danny Peterson, Richard and Ann Eason).

Mr. Jostock is survived by his three daughters, Renae Jostock-Hohenstein, Barbie Jostock and Sammi Jostock; sisters, Betty Borck, Ann Butterfield and Jean Saltzman; brothers, John (Carol) Jostock and Tim Jostock. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, four aunts and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Cremation has taken place. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
