McLaren Lapeer Region Foundation joins global Giving Tuesday movement

LAPEER — McLaren Lapeer Region Foundation has joined Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. McLaren Lapeer Region Foundation has established a goal of $10,000 for Giving Tuesday pledges and asks the comminuty to call the Foundation and make their pledge.

Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), this year on Nov. 28, and the widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season. The movement is meant to inspire people to collaborate on improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

Donations will help the Foundation to continue to support the McLaren Lapeer Region departments, programs and services. “We truly appreciate our friends and supporters and your generous donations will positively impact our community,” said Chris Candela, president and CEO, McLaren Lapeer Region. “It will aid us in providing the finest possible hospital care to Lapeer families.” Those interested in supporting the Foundation can call Barbara Shea Pote, Development Officer for the Foundation at 810- 667-5586 to make a donation.
