RICHARD “DICK” ALLEN NOAKE, 92, of Lapeer, passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday October 4, 2017, surrounded by family.

He was born in White Lake Township, on May 2, 1925, to parents Charles and Grace (Perry) Noake. He Married Elaine Stewart in 1982.

In February of 1928, his family moved to their Elba Township farm and that is where Richard spent the rest of his life. He was a dairy farmer who loved the cows and the land. He enjoyed being out in the fields and loved his life on the farm. Richard was a member of the Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) for 52 years. He was also a member of the Michigan Guernsey Association. Dick was one of the first firemen on the Elba Township Fire Department. Richard also enjoyed fishing and was a fan of the Detroit Tigers. He was a wonderful father and husband that will be greatly missed. He’ll also be missed by his pal Mocha, the family dog.

Richard is survived by his wife, Elaine, daughter, Susan (Jonathan) Stewart of Lapeer; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin (Ellen) Noake, Perry (Kathleen) Noake; his parents; and nephews, Bob Williams and Lee Sleight.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family, they will be creating a scholarship fund in Dick’s memory.

Dick’s funeral was Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the family farm (2708 S. Elba Rd., Lapeer), officiated by Pastor Bruce Craner. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Hadley.
