The inaugural Hall of Fame Class will begin with the 2017-2018 school year. The purpose is to recognize the efforts and achievements of various past student-athletes, coaches, and contributors to Imlay City Spartan Athletics while reinforcing the department’s rich sense of history and tradition. By acknowledging the contributions and accomplishments of individuals who are worthy of this recognition that they become examples for current and future Spartan student-athletes to emulate.

“Our school district has a proud tradition with outstanding community support. The Alumni Association and Imlay City Schools are excited about honoring that, and giving our current student athletes an up-close look at how to continue carrying the legacy forward,” said Imlay City Athletic Director, Don Gauthier.

The induction ceremony will be held annually during a home athletic contest to be determined at a later date.

“On behalf of our president, Rod Warner, were excited to be a part of the development of the Imlay City Athletic Hall of Fame to recognize accomplishments from our past student-athletes, coaches, and contributors,” said Marilyn Swihart, Secretary of the Imlay City Alumni Association and 1957 graduate of Imlay City High School.

The Imlay City Schools Athletic Department will be taking hall of fame nominations that fit the criteria until November 1, 2017. Criteria and nomination forms are available at the Imlay City High School Athletic Department, or you can access the form online at icspartans.com.
