• Families Against Narcotics (FAN) has a national hotline that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The number is 1-800- 622-4357.

• FAN holds a monthly meeting the second Thursday of the month from 7-9 p.m. at St. Matthews Anglican Church, 220 W. Nepessing in downtown Lapeer. All are welcome to attend (children 10 and older). Contact 810-728-2033.

• Hope Not Handcuffs is a FAN program that launched June 1 in Lapeer County. The program allows anyone struggling with drug addiction to walk into a police station and ask for help with their troubles. Volunteers known as “angels” are called to help link people with treatment.

• The Narcotics Anonymous meeting “Sundown Serenity” is held at 6 p.m. every Tuesday at 1310 N. Main St. in Lapeer.

• The Narcotics Anonymous meeting “Together We Can” is held at 8 p.m. every Tuesday at 5677 N. Lapeer Road (Country Christian Church).

• The Narcotics Anonymous meeting “Together We Can” is held at 8:30 p.m. every Thursday at 6727 Sherman St. in Otter Lake.

• Lapeer Community Mental Health has compiled an extensive list of area Alcoholics Anonymous meetings that can be found online at tinyurl.com/lapeeraa.

• Lapeer Community Mental Health offers a support group for “anyone who cares about someone with a mental health or substance use disorder,” (whether or not receiving services at CMH). The group meets at 1570 Suncrest Drive in Mayfield Township on the first and third Thursday of every month from 4-5 p.m. More information is available at 810- 667-0500.
