Road Construction Projects

Main Street in Clifford: Starting Tuesday (June 20) at the curves at the north (Marlette Road) and south end of town (Clifford Road) will be milled and resurfaced. Truck traffic will be diverted. Completion expected by end of week.

M-24: From Nepessing to Davis Lake Road. In this MDOT project, expect delays as traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction from Nepessing to Knollwood Drive in Lapeer. Completion will be in August.

DeMille Road: In Lapeer, the east-west road is closed from Harrison Street to an area near the Stonegate Health Campus. The roadway base was upgraded and is being repaved with asphalt mix that includes scrap tires. The project may be completed next week.

Court Street: Construction began June 5 and will run through mid-August. The street is being rebuilt from Genesee Street to the bridge over Farmers Creek in Lapeer. A detour route is posted.

Calhoun: To begin July 12, the street from Genesee to Nepessing in Lapeer will be closed for reconstruction. Completion date is Sept. 22.
