LINDA JO WOLGAST

LINDA JO WOLGAST, 69, a lifetime resident of Lapeer died Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Linda was born in Lansing, on April 14, 1948, to Norley and Betty (Munger) Russell. She graduated from Lapeer High School, class of 1966, and went on to attend Western Michigan University for a short while. Linda married William Wolgast on June 26, 1999 in Imlay City. Linda was a proofreader for many years at the Tri-City Times – she was well respected and cared for by her peers. Linda loved all animals: particularly kittens, puppies, and deer. She was a spirited competitor, a trait that surfaced any time friends and family were playing board games and particularly while watching Jeopardy. She was a “Fearless Forecaster” champion many times at the Tri-City Times. Linda was funny, witty, thoughtful, kind and generous - above all, Linda was a loving person.

Linda is survived by her husband, Bill Wolgast; daughter, Amy (Rudy) Vanwel of Edwards, CO; three grandchildren, Finn, Willem and Marley; siblings, Nancy (Stan) Mazur of Brooklyn, Dan (Karen) Russell of Lapeer, Dave (Susan) Russell of Laguna Beach, CA, Mike (Julie) Russell of Bath Township and Sue Russell of Clinton Township.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and her 2nd husband, Gary Drapalski.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Family or Paradise Animal Rescue, 2266 North Lapeer Road, Lapeer, MI 48446.
