Driver, 49, cited for suspended license

ALMONT TWP. — The Almont Police Dept. cited a 49-year-old man with driving while license suspended Sunday following a traffic stop on Almont Road near Prunella Drive. After learning he was being sought on multiple misdemeanor warrants, police took him into custody and turned him over to the Saginaw Township Police Dept.

Man, 21, arrested on felony warrant

ATTICA TWP. — Following a child custody dispute Sunday at a Wilson Drive residence the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a 21- year-old man into custody on a felony warrant. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

Dog found at Lapeer city park

LAPEER — The Lapeer Police Dept. found a dog in Rotary Park and took it to Lapeer County Animal Control.

Personal watercraft stolen off hoist

OREGON TWP. — A German Road resident told the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. Sunday that their red 2005 Sea Doo RXT was on the hoist the day before, but now it’s gone.

Woman, 40, arrested on felony warrant

ALMONT — The Almont Police Dept. arrested a 40-year-old woman Sunday on a felony warrant at a Hamilton Avenue residence. She was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

DRYDEN — A North Mill Street resident told the Dryden Township Police Dept. Sunday that a couple was having sex in the parking lot of Dryden Elementary School.

Woman alleges attack in Lapeer

LAPEER — A woman told the Lapeer Police Dept. Saturday that she was attacked by her ex’s girlfriend while checking on her 3-year-old child at his South Saginaw Street residence.

Employee nabbed stealing alcohol

LAPEER — The loss prevention staff at the Meijer store on DeMille Road told the Lapeer Police Dept. that they caught an employee stealing alcohol.

No license, no vehicle

RICH TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. cited a 52-year-old man with driving while license suspended. His vehicle was impounded.

ALMONT TWP. — The Almont Police Dept. arrested a 25-year-old man for drunken driving Sunday following a traffic stop on South Van Dyke Road near Tub Springs Road. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

ALMONT TWP. — The Almont Police Dept. arrested a 25-year-old man for drunken driving Saturday following a traffic stop on South Van Dyke Road near Webster Road. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail. His vehicle was impounded.

Drunken woman

LAPEER TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a drunken woman to McLaren Lapeer Region’s emergency room Saturday following an incident at the Hitch-N-Post on Imlay City Road.

Man, 18, arrested on warrant charge

LAPEER — Following one complaint of a group of people screaming and another from a woman saying she was being followed, the Lapeer Police Dept. stopped a car at the corner of South Saginaw and Hartley streets. Police arrested one of the occupants, an 18-year-old man, on an unspecified warrant.

Woman arrested on warrant, also cited

ELBA TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. arrested a 48-yearold woman Saturday on a misdemeanor warrant from Oakland County following a traffic stop on Baldwin Road. She was also cited with driving while license suspended.

Suicidal man taken for observation

ATTICA TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a suicidal 36- year-old man to McLaren Lapeer Region for observation Saturday.

Man, 35, arrested for resisting police

COLUMBIAVILLE — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. arrested a 35-year-old man for resisting and obstructing a police officer Saturday following a traffic stop on Water Street near First Street. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

Alcohol arrests made Friday

METAMORA TWP. — The Metamora Township Police Dept. arrested a 35-year-old for drunken driving following a traffic stop on Baldwin Road near Pratt Road. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

• The Lapeer Police Dept. arrested a 38-yearold man for drunken driving following a traffic stop on North Saginaw Street in Lapeer. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

•The Dryden Township Police Dept. arrested a 39-year-old man for drunken driving following a traffic stop on Joy Road in Dryden Township.

Cranky client

LAPEER — A roofer working on a Turnbull Street home told the Lapeer Police Dept. Friday that a former client keeps coming by and harassing him.

Building burglarized

ALMONT TWP. — The Almont Police Dept. investigated a possible burglary Friday at a commercial building on South Van Dyke Road.

Shoplifter bagged

LAPEER — Loss prevention staff at the Rite Aid store on West Genesee Street told the Lapeer Police Dept. Friday that they caught a woman stuffing items in her purse. The store declined to press charges since it got its merchandise back, however police found the woman was being sought on a shoplifting warrant so they took her into custody.
