Arcadia Township approves expanding parking lot project
ARCADIA TWP. — Getting in and out of the Arcadia Township Hall should be a little easier by summer’s end.
Township trustees voted at their June 11 meeting to spend an additional $9,000 to pave the remainder of the township hall’s parking lot not covered by a recently approved grant.
Township clerk Sharna Smith said that pushes the final cost of the project up to $26,000. Once the project is completed the township will have a paved handicapped accessible parking lot and sidewalks.
Trustees also approved blocking up the windows in the garage at the cemetery on Lum Road. In recent years, Smith said, vandals have broken the windows faster than they could be replaced.
