Suicidal man reported
OREGON TWP. — Residents told Central Dispatch Wednesday that a 59-year-old man was acting suicidal.
Three vehicle crash
ATTICA TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating a crash involving a large passenger van and two cars Wednesday on Imlay City Road near Mitchell Lake Road. The van and one of the cars were towed. Everyone involved in the accident refused medical attention at the scene.
Men arrested Wednesday
DEERFIELD TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a 27- year-old man into custody at a Tozer Road residence on a pair unspecified warrants from the Lapeer County Circuit and Probate courts. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.
• The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a 40- year-old man into custody at a Miller Lake Road residence in Deerfield Township on warrants from the Lapeer County Circuit Court and Friend of the Court. He was taken to the Courthouse detention cells.
Car fire extinguished
LAPEER — A Pheasant Run resident told Lapeer Fire & Rescue Wednesday that flames were coming from under their vehicle’s engine. The first firefighter on scene managed to put the flames out.
Unruly behavior
LAPEER — A clerk at the Speedy Q gas station on South Main Street told the Lapeer Police Dept. Wednesday that two men were arguing over a vehicle.
Shoplifter flees
LAPEER — Loss prevention staff at the Walmart store on East Genesee Street told the Lapeer Police Dept. Wednesday that a woman stole some items from the store, got into a green van with three other people and drove off.
Abandoned vehicle
DEERFIELD TWP.— The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. had a vehicle towed Wednesday after deputies found it abandoned and partially blocking Columbiaville Road near North Lapeer Road.
Drunken driver removed from roads
NORTH BRANCH TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. cited a 33-year-old woman with drunken driving Wednesday following a traffic stop on Lake Pleasant Road near Burnside Road. She was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.
Gas leak follows car crash Wednesday
IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City Police Dept. is investigating a vehicle crash Wednesday that caused a gas leak. Police said a vehicle slid off South Almont Avenue, near Newark Road, at the entrance to the Maple Grove Trailer Park and struck a gas valve. The Imlay City Fire Dept. stood by while Consumers Gas employees shut off the gas and the vehicle was towed away.
Abandoned vehicle
LAPEER TWP. — The Lapeer Township Police Dept. impounded a vehicle Tuesday after finding it abandoned along South Lapeer Road near East Hunters Creek Road.
Shoplifters arrested at Walmart in Lapeer
LAPEER — The Lapeer Police Dept. cited a 21- year-old woman with shop lifting Tuesday after loss prevention staff at the Walmart store on East Genesee Street told them they caught the woman stealing things from the store.
• Later in the day loss prevention staff at the same Walmart store told the Lapeer Police Dept. they had caught two 19- year-old women shoplifting. They were taken into custody.
Vehicle crashes
ATTICA TWP.— Following a vehicle crash on Newark Road near Birch Road Tuesday, Lapeer County EMS took one person to McLaren Lapeer Region’s emergency room for treatment and a second person refused medical attention at the scene. The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating.
• Following a vehicle crash on Oregon Township’s North Elba Road near Linger Road, Lapeer County EMS took a motorist to McLaren Lapeer Region’s emergency room for treatment.
Cited for no license
IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City Police Dept. cited a motorist with driving while license suspended Tuesday following a traffic stop on South Cedar Street.
Revoked license
LAPEER —The Lapeer Police Dept. cited a motorist with driving with a revoked license Monday following a traffic stop on Millville Road near Lapeer West High School.
Domestic violence reported Monday
DEERFIELD TWP. — A Hillside Drive woman told the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. that she was assaulted during a domestic incident. When police arrived they reported she was evasive about whether or not the suspect was there and wouldn’t let police in the home to check if he was. The woman told police she was moving out.
• The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a man into custody following an incident at a Lum Road residence in Arcadia Township.
Prisoner pick up
ST. CLAIR SHORES— The Lapeer Police Dept. met with Macomb County authorities Monday on I- 94 near 26 Mile Road to pick up a 48-year-old man sought on a probation violation warrant.
Woman arrested on FOC warrant
LAPEER TWP. — Michigan State Police took a 46-year-old woman into custody Monday on a Friend of the Court warrant following a traffic stop on westbound I-69 near South Wilder Road.
Vehicles collide
ALMONT TWP.— Lapeer County EMS took two people to McLaren Lapeer Region’s emergency room for treatment Monday following a crash near the corner of South Van Dyke and Hollow Corners roads. The Almont Township Fire Dept. washed down the road and the Lapeer County Road Commission re-salted the road. The Lapeer County Police Dept. is investigating.
