Unruly child to ER

LAPEER — The Lapeer Police Dept. took a 12-year-old girl to McLaren Lapeer Region’s emergency room for evaluation Wednesday after her parents said she was out of control.

Man arrested; turned over to St. Clair County

NORTH BRANCH TWP. — Michigan State Police took a 52-year-old man into custody on an unspecified warrant Wednesday following a traffic stop on Burnside Road near Lake Pleasant Road. The man was turned over to St. Clair County authorities.

Driver, 71, cited for driving with no license

ELBA TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. cited a 71-year-old man with driving while license suspended Wednesday following a traffic stop on eastbound I-69 near Hadley Road. His vehicle was impounded.

Threats made after being fired at work

LAPEER — A shift supervisor at ZF Lemforder on John Conley Drive told the Lapeer Police Dept. Wednesday that an employee, who had just been terminated, made threats as he left the building.

Shoplifter busted

DEERFIELD TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a 31- year-old woman into custody Wednesday after the staff of Bryan’s Market on North Lapeer Road said they caught the woman shoplifting. Police noted the woman had her son with her.

Woman threatened

MAYFIELD TWP. — A West Ridgeview Drive woman told the Lapeer Police Dept. Wednesday that a man had been threatening her with a pipe recently and she had just learned he’d left Fat Boy’s Bar and Grill and was on his way to her home.

Prisoner pick up

TUSCOLA COUNTY — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. went to the Tuscola County Jail Tuesday to pick up an 18-year-old man sought on an unspecified warrant.

Business burglarized

LAPEER — The Lapeer Police Dept. found an open door at K & S Flowers on West Genesee Street Tuesday.

Suspect surrenders

LAPEER — An unidentified suspect turned themselves in Tuesday on an unspecified warrant at the Lapeer Police Dept. on West Genesee Street.

Chimney fire reported in Mayfield Twp.

MAYFIELD TWP. — An Angle Road family told Lapeer Fire & Rescue Tuesday that their chimney caught fire. The family evacuated the home and firefighters put the fire out.

Plumbing stolen

METAMORA TWP. — A real estate agent told the Metamora Township Police Dept. Tuesday that thieves broke into a Hillview Drive home and took the plumbing.

No license, no drive

LAPEER — The Lapeer Police Dept. cited a 23-year-old man with driving while license suspended Tuesday following a traffic stop on South Main Street.

Man arrested on misdemeanor

ATTICA TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took an 18-yearold man into custody Tuesday at a North Lake Pleasant residence on a misdemeanor warrant and took him to court.

Drug arrest made

MAYFIELD TWP. — Following reports of a road rage incident Tuesday, the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. stopped a 48-year-old man on West Coulter Road near North Lapeer Road and cited him with driving while under the influence of drugs.

Jewelry stolen from Lapeer home

LAPEER — A South Calhoun Street resident told the Lapeer Police Dept. Tuesday that thieves took jewelry from their home.

Vehicle strikes tree

OREGON TWP. — Lapeer County EMS took an unidentified person to McLaren Lapeer Region’s emergency room for treatment Tuesday after their vehicle struck a tree on Oregon Road. The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating.
