Arrests made on Wednesday

MAYFIELD TWP. — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took an unidentified person into custody Wednesday following a search of a Wiltshire Court residence. The person was taken to the Lapeer County Jail, where they were held for Osceola County authorities, who were seeking the person on an unspecified warrant.

The Metamora Township Police Dept. took an unidentified person into custody Wednesday on felony and civil warrants from the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. at a South Lapeer Road residence. The person was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

Teens shoplift

LAPEER — The Lapeer Police Dept. cited a 17- year-old man with shoplifting Wednesday after loss prevention staff at the Walmart store on East Genesee Street said they caught him taking things from the store.

Drunken drivers

METAMORA TWP. — The Metamora Township Police Dept. cited an unidentified motorist with drunken driving Wednesday following a traffic stop on South Lapeer Road near Brauer Road.

• The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. cited a 50- year-old man with drunken driving Tuesday following a traffic stop on DeMille Road. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

Warrant arrests

LAPEER —The Lapeer Police Dept. took a 28- year-old man into custody Tuesday following a traffic stop on Pine Street near Law Street after they discovered he was being sought on a felony warrant. He was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

Michigan State Police took a 31-year-old man into custody Tuesday following a traffic stop on I- 69 near the county line in Elba Township after they learned the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. was looking for him on a misdemeanor warrant.

The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. took a 35- year-old man into custody Tuesday at Champion Bus, Inc. on Graham Road in Imlay Township on an unspecified warrant.

No license

ELBA TWP. — Michigan State Police cited a 49-year-old man with driving with a suspended or expired license Tuesday following a traffic stop on eastbound I-69 near Nepessing Road. Police also noted the man’s license had been revoked in Alaska.

Prisoner pick up

TUSCOLA COUNTY — The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. picked up a 28-year-old woman at the Tuscola County Jail Tuesday. Sought on multiple warrants from the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Lapeer Police Dept., she was taken to the Lapeer County Jail.

Loose pigs

MARATHON TWP. — A motorist on Columbiaville Road told the Michigan State Police Tuesday that there were pigs loose on the road. The owner took care of the situation.

Vehicle crash

BURNSIDE TWP. — The driver in a car involved in a crash on Gravel Creek Road Monday reportedly suffered memory loss. The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating.
