Paddlers break top 20 at Au Sable race

GRAYLING — Lapeer area residents, Clark Kent, David Phelps and Mike Bradford completed the AuSable River International Canoe Marathon that ran July 28-29.

Kent finished in ninth place with his partner, Tim Sheldon, from Grayling, in 15:36:07, while Phelps and Bradford finished 14th in the 72-canoe field in 15:55:32. — L.P.
