Bring back downtown Regarding all the writing in the paper that’s about downtown Lapeer being a ghost town — I’m here to tell you it is a ghost town, and you can thank the mayor of Lapeer for doing that. It’s time to get a new mayor in Lapeer who works full time and can care about Lapeer and help people that are losing their businesses down there, or help people that want to start a business in downtown Lapeer.
