SALOMEA (SALLY) SKALECKI BROWN, 78,

of Sandy Valley, NV passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. Sally was born March 23, 1933. Formerly of Lapeer, Sally leaves behind four children, Frankie Skalecki of Palm Desert CA, John Skalecki of Key Largo FL, Francine (Steve) Shearer of Mt. Blanchard OH and David Perry of Toledo OH. Sally was the eldest of fourteen children. Preceeding her into heaven are Anthony Skalecki, Catherine (Kasha) Bliss and Nancy (Amy) Bonesteel. Sally’s surviving nine siblings include Frank D. Skalecki of Vancouver, WA, Ernest Skalecki of Sarasota, FL, Kenneth (Sheila) Skalecki of Eldorado Springs, MO, Phillip Skalecki of Sandy Valley, NV, Irene Seifferlein of Marlette, Mary (Rip) Beam of Lapeer, Timothy Skalecki of Punta Gorda, FL, Theresa Skalecki of Lapeer, Sylvia Newcombe of Fredonia, AZ,; as well as many nephews and nieces.

She was known by family and friends for her generous, kind nature and a desire to practice her personal spirituality in daily living. She was an advocate of always looking for the good in each person she met. She believed kindness trumps all.

A funeral Mass will be held at 9:00am on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Catherine of Siena Church in Sandy Valley, NV. A Pot Luck celebration of Sally’s life will be held at the Idle Spur at 5:00pm following the service. All family and friends are invited.
