REVEREND DONALD C. KROHN,
84, of Imlay City, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 after an extended illness at his home surrounded by his loving family. Donald Clinton Krohn was born November 28, 1927, in Port Huron, son of Harvey and Erma Krohn. He grew up in Port Huron. Donald was a graduate of Port Huron High School.
He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and again during the Korean War. Don attended college at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, Detroit Bible College, and Midwestern Bible College. He was married to Clarine Krampien on July 3, 1947 in Port Huron. They have been married for nearly 65 years. They have lived nearly 40 years here in the Imlay City area. Reverend Donald Krohn’s first appointment in 1951 was to a church circuit in the communities of Curtisville-Goodar-South Branch; he was later appointed to the Manton First Baptist Church. He has spent 30 + years as pastor at North Goodland Baptist. Throughout his retirement he has been called to serve the Capac First Baptist Church as an interim pastor as well as other local churches. Reverend Donald Krohn is one of the first members and is the Pastor Emeritus of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Imlay City. In his spare time, in the 1980’s he taught auto body repair at the Lapeer County Vocational - Technical School in Attica. Reverend Don was a founder and on the Board of Directors at Camp Michael. He also helped to establish a "Technical Assistance Mission."
He is survived are his wife, Clarine Krohn of Imlay City; his daughter, Pamela L. Stover of Lapeer; sons, Brian D. (Susan) Krohn of Petersburg, MI, Kevin L. (Amy) Krohn of Imlay City; one brother, Allen Krohn; four sisters, Ona (Melvin) Hand of Indianapolis, IN, Bethel (Robert) Haight of St. Helen, MI, Phyllis Mason of Clio, MI, Joyce (Charles) Dunsmore of Goodells, MI; also surviving are seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Erma Krohn; and by a sister, Lois Coggins.

Funeral services took place Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Crossroads Baptist Church, 859 N. Van Dyke Rd., Imlay City. Reverend Kenneth Renard pastor of the Crossroads Baptist Church officiated. Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Brown City.
