103, of Imlay City, previously of Grosse Pointe Farms, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Heatherton Place. Stella Edith Albert was born August 1, 1908 in High Spire, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Jacob and Lydia Albert.

Stella was a graduate of Penn State University in 1930 with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. She worked as a chemist at Parke Davis Pharmaceuticals in Detroit. At the age of 50, Stella married Dr. Hugh L. Dill and remained with him until his death about 12 years later. She then met and married John F. MacDonald Sr. on November 11, 1978. He passed away April 11, 1986. She was a member of the Imlay City First Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards and lived for several years at Casa Maria Senior Center.

She is survived by her nephew, Richard and Margaret Harvey of Ohio; niece, Norma Rohr of South Carolina; and step-daughters, Frances Shull of Imlay City, Margaret (Richard) Harvey of Ohio, and Nancy Barney of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by husbands, Dr. Hugh Dill and John MacDonald Sr.
