ELIZABETH ANN RACKNOR,

ELIZABETH ANN RACKNOR,

64, of Lapeer, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2011, at her residence surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 28, 1946, in Clio, daughter to Eldon and Elizabeth (Hewlet) Morey. She married Gary Racknor on February 14, 1979. Elizabeth worked for the State Home (Oakdale Center) as a resident care aid.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Gary Racknor Sr. of Lapeer; sons, Bruce (Kim) Lamphere of Flushing, Gary (Kate Russell) Racknor, Jr. of Lapeer; grandchildren, Jeff and Kiley; mother, Elizabeth (John Parker) LeDuc of Lapeer; 14 siblings, Michael (Wanda) Morey of Columbiaville, Eldon (Ann) Morey of Elba, Linda (Richard) Collins of Elba, Constance (Dan) Ames of Flint, Lois (John) Beeney of Durand, Julie (Mark) Barnard of Argentine, Charles (Lupe) Morey of Lapeer, Terry DeGroat of Lapeer, Wayne (Sherry) DeGroat of Big Rapids, Randy (Vicki) Morey of Portland, Jan (Mark) Gouine of Lapeer, Carla (Dan) Clephane of Paris, Velma Zavitz of Marlette and Alta (Jeff) Scott of Montrose; and her sister-in-law, Esther Quakenbush of Leroy, MI. Elizabeth is also survived by many, many, many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Eldon Morey, Sr.; brother, Everet Morey; and her step-mother, Joan Morey.

Memorials contributions in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be from 6-9pm Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Pastor Antonio Velez will officiate. Burial at Dawn Memorial Cemetery, Elba.
