Semi-truck, SUV tangle on M-53


A semi-truck (background) and SUV were involved in an accident Friday afternoon at the intersection of M-53 and Burnside Road in Burnside Township. The truck driver told Brown City Fire Dept. personnel that it appeared the SUV entered the intersection, possibly thinking it was a four-way stop, and struck the wheels of the truck’s trailer as it traveled north. The unidentified woman driver was transported by Marlette EMS to Lapeer Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
