Molly Maid collecting winter coats for needy Lapeer County residents

METAMORA — Molly Maid employees are once again accepting clean, gently used coats to be distributed free of charge within the community.

More than 700 area residents had a slightly warmer winter last year due to the efforts of Molly Maid, its customers and friends and since Lynne Butler, owner of Molly Maid of Metamora, began her first coat drive 21 years ago, the company has collected somewhere between 2,000 and 3,000 coats for needy children and adults.

Molly Maid will pick up donations through Oct. 15 and deliver them to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lapeer.

To make arrangements for pick-up services, call Molly Maid at 810-678-2078.
