Habitat house progresses in Lapeer

Habitat for Humanity of Lapeer County has made great progress on its First Street project in Lapeer during the last five weeks. Basement repairs are going well and should be completed this week. Volunteers were able complete about 90 percent of the reroof last week in spite of 88-degree weather so the house is now weatherproof except for the roof over the new porch (coming at the end of this week). Volunteers are need for today (Wednesday) and Thursday from about 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. each day. Habitat will also work Saturday, June 5 starting at 9 a.m. Photo courtesy DENNIS HARRAND Habitat for Humanity of Lapeer County has made great progress on its First Street project in Lapeer during the last five weeks.
