Extention marks St. Patrick’s Day with a foreclosure prevention meeting LAPEER — Many homeowners need more than the luck of the Irish to avoid losing their homes. The Lapeer County MSU Extension is holding another in its series of meetings aimed at helping people navigate the process of preventing foreclosure from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 17 at the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library, 921 W. Nepessing St. The information is free, but pre-registration is required by calling MSU Extension at 810-667-0341. A certified housing counselor will discuss alternatives to foreclosure, making homes affordable program, the foreclosure process, the new foreclosure prevention laws and crisis spending plans. |
