Thanks for support of spelling bee

For many years now, The County Press has generously sponsored the county-wide spelling bee and this year is no exception. For their continued support of the 2009- 10 event, participating students in the communities of the Almont, Dryden, Imlay City, Lapeer and North Branch express their appreciation.

Our students work very hard and look forward to competing with participants from all over Lapeer County in the local event held in March. Besides the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned, there are prizes for the best spellers, and the champion of the county-wide bee qualifies for participation in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.

Thanks to The County Press, our students have the opportunity to compete again this year and that is te r-r-i-f-i-c.
