Group home worker attacked
      ATTICA TWP. — An employee at a group home on Larson Road told the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Dept. Oct. 26 that a resident hit her in the face about 6:30 a.m. The woman said she went in to the 6-foot-4, 240-pound man’s room to check on him and he began swearing at her. Then, she said, the man hit her in the head.

Jason McIvor benefit set for Nov. 21
      CAPAC — Friends of the family will host the Jason McIvor Scotch Doubles Benefit on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Holly Meadows Golf Course in Capac. McIvor, 26, of Brown City, was killed in car accident Oct. 25 while returning home from the bowling alley at Holly Meadows where he worked.
