Communications

Where you’ll find information about our efforts to expand our coverage of the Lapeer area through the pages of The County Press and the Lapeer Area VIEW. We think it’s important to keep you in the loop as we map our future.

The need for communications is critical in this business, and we’d like to thank our readers and advertisers for their continued patience during our remodeling and move of our staffers from the LA View offices to the County Press.

An unexpected delay in delivery of our expanded phone system has produced many a busy signal over the last several weeks. We apologize. The new phone service is expected to be up and running in the next couple of weeks, defintely smoothing the flow of information both into and out of our offices.

We’ve fielded a number of calls from LA View readers who are looking for football coverage. Our “Inside the 20” in each week’s Sunday County Press has all of the details of Friday night gridiron action. The LA View and the Wednesday County Press carry previews of upcoming contests and stories and results from all of the other fall sports, including swimming, cross country, boys tennis, girls golf, soccer and volleyball.

We’d also like you to welcome our new circulation director, Chris Riddell, a veteran of the newspaper industry with career stops at the Observer & Eccentric, Journal Register Co. and Gannett.

After many unexpected glitches (are any glitches ever planned?) our move is complete, and most of our new systems are up and running. Thanks again for your patience during these growing pains.

As always, we value what you think. Send your comments to editor@mihomepaper.com or write to us at The County Press, P.O. Box 220, 1521 Imlay City Road, Lapeer 48446. — Mike Arnholt
