Lapeer shop to build 5,200-square-foot expansion
     LAPEER — One of the signs of an improving economy is expansion plans at ESE LLC. Located on John Conley Drive, the 13-year-old company is planning to add 5,200 square feet of manufacturing space to its 10,000- square-foot facility later this summer.

American Red Cross names interim executive director for region
     LAPEER— The Genesee-Lapeer Chapter of the American Red Cross has named Jake Collins as interim executive director while a search is conducted for an executive director for the chapter. Collins is currently a board member of the Genesee-Lapeer Chapter of the American Red Cross, which encompasses Genesee and Lapeer counties.

Elks’ Ace of Hearts game returns to Louie’s every Monday night
     LAPEER — The Lapeer Elks have restarted the popular Ace of Hearts game, which will run every week at Louie’s Sports Tavern in Lapeer. The game gives local residents a chance to win a growing jackpot while simultaneously helping the local community.
