     As many of you may have noticed recently, the Michigan Warriors, a North American Hockey League franchise based at Flint’s Perani Arena, has been granted dormancy for the 2012-13 season. The reason for that is because the Warriors and Perani Arena are in the process of trying to run both companies under one business.

     LAPEER — After going 6-8-2 last year, the Saginaw Valley State University women’s soccer team made a move toward replacing the three seniors it lost to graduation by stepping up and signing Lapeer West defenseman Maddison Smith last Tuesday to a national letter-ofintent.
