Cardinals post second win of the year
      DRYDEN — The Cardinals improved to 2-0 with a 4-3 victory over the Imlay City JV on Friday. Dryden led 2-0 at halftime, then fought off a comeback by the Spartans, who tied the game at 2-2, and again at 3-3. Joe Sturza and Andrew Kunz each scored twice for Dryden, with one assist apiece.

Lapeer swimmers to host Davison today
      LAPEER – Swimmers from Lapeer East and Lapeer West will host their first of just two home meets this season today at the Lapeer Community Center at 6 p.m. Today marks the team’s season opener against the non-conference Big Nine foe that returns its top swimmer, Alyssa Moriarety, who missed much of last season with a shoulder injury.
