LAPEER — Providing an alternative to burning tobacco products since 2010, A Clean Cigarette is a Michiganbased electronic cigarette store that is here to help smokers find a better way. The business’ Lapeer location, opened in 2013, has a wide variety of electronic cigarette products that are affordable, portable, and accessible. For any and all smokers that are ready to learn about the benefits of e-cigarettes, Event Manager Steve Lemke encourages you to check out their website or visit one of their 20 electronic cigarette stores located throughout Michigan.

Founded by husband and wife Cary and Mona Lee, originally from Fairview, MI, A Clean Cigarette was created after Cary’s struggle to quit smoking. Once he discovered the e-cigarette, he says he founded the store three months later as he became quickly aware of the myriad benefits offered. Now, he and Mona only hire smokers who have made the switch to e-cigarettes.

“Each and every employee is both a former smoker and former client of the store, and we believe that this model of smokers helping smokers is hugely beneficial, as they know exactly what their customers are going through, and all the ways they can talk themselves out of quitting,” said Lemke. “We understand all of the habits and rituals of smoking, and we also know exactly how to use our products to bolster your success in the transition from cigarettes to e-cigarettes.”

Lemke emphasized the fact that A Clean Cigarette is not owned by big tobacco, and instead encourages their customers and any smokers that visit the store to try and remove tobacco cigarettes from their lives. With 53 employees throughout the company’s 20 locations, including the three employees at the Lapeer storefront, A Clean Cigarette has assisted thousands of men and women get off and stay off tobacco products.

“Studies have shown that switching from burning tobacco can be a huge improvement in a person’s life,” said Lemke. “But, we’re not saying we’re a completely safe product. We are simply a less harmful alternative to burning tobacco. This alternative eliminates carbon monoxide, tar, other harmful chemicals and smoke. The effects of tobacco on society have been proven for decades, and we all know what they can do. We want people to move away from that and towards a less harmful alternative. We’ve helped dozens and dozens of people in Lapeer, and thousands across the state, and we remain committed to helping as many more as we can.”
